How We Chose The Speakers In Our List

checklist with star rating

Choosing the best speakers was not easy. With so many different factors to consider, this isn’t a definitive list. This is why we have reviewed the different types of speakers as well with links below. We wanted to create a list that’s accessible for all classes with something that’s right for everyone.

Based off of professional feedback and many customer reviews from different backgrounds, we’ve identified which products people are most satisfied with to present to you today.

That’s how we know you’ll be happy with your purchase. However, there are some tips we recommend you be aware of before making any final decisions, which we’ve covered below.

Different Types Of Speakers

Speaker Brands We've Reviewed

Tips For Choosing The Right Speakers

The first step in selecting the right speaker for yourself is identifying how much you are willing to spend. Once you have an allotted budget there’s a few things which you should decide upon. Do you want a monitor speaker? Or maybe you can invest more for an ample tower speaker?

Next, decide where you plan on performing. If you will be on the road often, it’s much easier to travel with lightweight monitor speakers. However if you have a studio and don’t plan on travelling than a tower speaker may be more ideal. So measure your room or decide where you plan on taking your speaker.

Usually the bigger the speaker, the greater the sound and deeper the bass. This isn’t always the case but it’s a general rule of thumb. Depending on how loud you need your performance to be will dictate how big your speakers should be and how many watts you need. A 450 watt bookshelf speaker is ideal for someone entertaining a barbecue, while 1000 watt floor standing tower speaker would be for big shows.

Most speakers have 4 ports for bi-wiring, so you can individually connect different cables from your amp for distinctive upper and lower signals. This creates for more precise sound than single cable wiring and something to consider. Unfortunately, single cable wiring sends all the signals together and may not be as precise as you would like.

Conclusion

We’ve covered many different speakers on this list. From bookshelf to line-array, and tower speakers. These are the best available and beat out the competition for their relative price points. You notice some of the brands are recurring like Yamaha and Mackie, but that’s because these brands manufacturer really good products.

All of our decision-making was based on feedback from professional musicians like DJ’s and independent solo artist. We also analyzed hundreds of customer reviews and tried many different speakers before coming to our final conclusion of which speakers to detail on our list.

Regardless of which speaker you choose the main thing to decide upon is what’s your budget and what type of speaker do you want which we’ve covered in the tips section. Any of the ones listed above, we know you’ll be satisfied with your purchase that’s guaranteed.
